OVERVIEW

The goal of this module is to promote effective local community participation and environmental health and safety in small-scale mining to create jobs and improve livelihoods in mining communities.

DELIVERABLES

•   Work with appropriate agency to launch  fifty (50) community mining schemes
• Train two hundred (200) Small-scale mining companies in Mine Health and Safety standards

•   Further community and Institutional engagement underway
